RE/MAX New Zealand CEO Don HA describes the owners of one of the network’s newest offices as ‘two young people with a vision for the future’. It’s not surprising then that siblings Rozele and Ryan Singh chose to call their Westgate-based real estate franchise, RE/MAX Vision.
Ryan, who last year completed a Bachelor of Commerce with an economics and marketing double major, had originally approached Mr Ha for a job with RE/MAX New Zealand.
“Don suggested the step up into ownership. Rozele already had a role with Don and RE/MAX in backend operations.
“We had grown up in a business environment with our parents heavily involved in real estate, which they used to create wealth and increase their business opportunities. We realised what an opportunity there was to use our experience, our knowledge and our understanding of best business practice in our own real estate franchise.”
As broker owners, Ryan’s focus is business development and marketing with Rozele focussing on management and administration as well as being active in sales.
The Singhs established RE/MAX Vision in Westgate, seeing it as an up-and-coming area popular for backyards, affordability and existing infrastructure, all just 20 minutes to Auckland CBD.
“It is an established township where surrounding farms are being subdivided,” Rozele said, “but there is much happening here at present and much planned for, bringing an air of anticipation to the Westgate market, especially the north west where we expect to be most active.
“Those keen to buy are people renting in the area, people coming from 20 minutes further out and apartment dwellers wanting homes as they move from singles to families. We expect to have a focus on off-the-plan but will have traditional property listings too.”
In addition to residential sales and property management, RE/MAX Vision offers commercial sales and leasing expertise with experienced and highly respected commercial specialists Graeme Kerridge and Grant Miller joining the team.
The new office shows the depth of CEO Don Ha’s personal connection with his network.
“I first met these two dynamic young professionals just after they were born,” he explains. “I sold their parents their first home in my first year in real estate. I’ve advised on their parents’ business investments for more than ten years. Rozele and Ryan are the first sister-brother RE/MAX business owners in New Zealand.
“I speak often about the importance of legacies. I have advised this family from 1996 to today, and that is what I mean by ‘selling a legacy’, Mr Ha said.
Business growth is in their sights with the Singhs anticipating a team of more than five agents and 60 sales by the end of the first year.
“Our age is just one of our points of difference,” said Ryan. “Our ‘vision’ delivers marketing that will be very visual, vibrant and highly engaging, with videos and virtual inspections, and very good use of social media.
“We will build long term relationships with our customers out of trust and integrity but will be creative and shake it up while doing so,” he said.
Ryan and Rozele anticipate growth in agent numbers in order for the residential and commercial teams to meet the demands of the market in sales, property management and leasing.
“We focus on the value we give our customers, knowing that leads to business growth,” said Ryan, “and our goal is to provide the ultimate real estate experience on the back of strong, trusting relationships.
“This will be a productive, innovative, dynamic team and we welcome enquiry from enthusiastic, customer-focused people interested in joining us.”
